I was given the role of assistant sound designer for this show at a time where we didn't know what it meant to produce musicals during the pandemic. In our case, it was outdoors, which led to just as many challenges to me as being masked in a pandemic. fighting through wind, street noises, and so much more, I learned how to design and mix a show in harsh conditions. I was teachable and eager to learn and create under my mentor sound designer Rodd Simonsen. He gave me the chance to build a lot of my own soundscapes that were used in the show, as well as be the mixer and assistant technician on the show as well. I was treated like the head sound designer on this show at many times, and was never afraid of that role.
